About John B. (JB) Guyton
John B. (JB) Guyton, the Chairman/CEO of Flatirons, Inc. also serves as the President of the Professional Land surveyors of Colorado. He is the majority owner and principal surveyor of Flatirons, Inc. in Boulder, Colorado. He has been in the surveying profession since 1969, and is licensed in Colorado, Wyoming, California, Arizona and Nevada. He is the President and a sustaining member of the Professional Land Surveyors of Colorado, is a past president of the Colorado Section of the American Congress on Surveying and Mapping, and is a Colorado Representative and board member of the Western Federation of Pro fessional Surveyors. He has worked as a contributor to the state licensing examination process for Land Surveyor licensure, has been a contributor to legislation regarding monumentation and plat recordation, and he has acted as an advisor to the Colorado Attorney General's Office regarding questions on professional standards for registered surveyors and law pertaining to boundary surveys. Through his involvement with the PLSC, he continues to work to increase the quality and availability of local Surveying and Mapping programs.
