Equipment

Flatirons Inc. uses a variety of equipment both inside and outside. Our equipment reflects the kinds of projects we do, from using plumb bobs on low-end surveys, to highly accurate GPS and scanning technology for boundaries and As-builts. The use of quality equipment allows us to complete projects efficiently and provide information that can be used by other related disciplines with a minimum of data conversion.

Outside the office, Flatirons gets to your site in Toyota 4x4 pickups and uses a variety of models of Trimble GPS and Total Robotic Stations, Topcon Total Stations, data collectors, Leica levels, and digital cameras to complete survey field collections. In addition, we have a Leica HDS 3000 Lidar scanner to complete as-built projects. Inside the office, Flatirons Inc. uses an assortment of software products to support field collection, and produce professional deliverables. We use the latest versions of AutoCAD, Land Development Desktop, Civil 3D, Trimble Geomatics Office, Microsoft Office Suite, Leica CloudWorx and Cyclone, and products from ESRI, Adobe, and Corel. Due to the high accuracy standards of surveying, we stay at the forefront of equipment technology, as it becomes more cost-effective to attain those standards.   We will use whatever equipment is available and appropriate for the project at hand. In addition, we have the ability to tailor our equipment to suit your specific needs, or attain additional equipment to accurately complete the project.
