Remedial Services
As an environmentally impacted site is assessed and a plan for reclamation or rehabilitation is prepared by an environmental engineer, there may be a need for some sort of remedial construction. Examples of remedial construction may include structures to confine the spread of environmentally unwanted materials, consolidation and removal of contaminated soils, or covering of historical landfills for reclamation
of the land. The construction process is usually no different from any other type of construction surveying, except that the personnel involved must be trained in Hazardous Waste Site procedures. The conditions of the site may also dictate the wearing of personal protective equipment by all personnel if it is warranted at the particular site.
Flatirons, Inc. has personnel trained in Hazardous Waste Site Safety for projects where environmental issues are a concern. We have a program in place to keep the OSHA 29CFR1910.120 certification of our personnel current, which includes annual refresher courses to keep abreast of changes in environmental hazards technology.
